What is an Australian Trusted Trader?
The Australian Trusted Trader is a scheme launched by the Australian Border Force to provide Australian importing and exporting businesses with the opportunity to reduce red tape with their shipments at the border.
The scheme is free to apply and accepts businesses that meet or exceed trade compliance and supply chain security standards. Those accepted receive preferential treatment with more simplified and cost-effective trade arrangements.
In 2019 Dyson Logistics was recognized as an Australian Trusted Trader. This status was awarded for the security we provide, the sensitive information our clients entrust us with, our sound processes surrounding the use of that information, as well as our solid operating practices.
Some of the benefits you receive working with us as a Trusted Trader
- Priority processing with advance rulings in relation to tariffs, valuation and origin, advance ruling reviews, duty drawback claims, and refund and remission applications for customs import duty.
- Priority treatment of goods at the border as imports from Australian Trusted Traders are seen as low risk and undergo fewer checks when they arrive.
- Consolidated cargo clearance, meaning, less red tape when importing consolidated cargo.
- Australian Trusted Trader (ATT) Origin Advance Ruling, allows Trusted Trader importers to apply for a single advance ruling for goods under multiple tariff classifications and consignments, enabling use of a Declaration of Origin.
- Origin Waiver benefit saves time and money for Trusted Trader importers. Certificates or Declarations of Origin are no longer required under ten free trade agreements. Check the Visit the Australian Trusted Trader website for a list of exempt shipping routes.

To be eligible, you must:
- have an ABN
- have been active in the international supply chain for at least 2 years
- be financially solvent
